EXIT STRATEGY
American Life is a well established and well known property management company in the Seattle area with US citizens investing from $100,000 to many millions, either into single or multiple projects. US citizens and immigrants invest in approximately equal numbers.
Whenever you wish to sell your shares in a Limited Partnership, whether it is after you have had Conditions Removed (approximately two years after emigrating and some three and a half years after investing), or sooner if you are abandoning your plans to emigrate, simply contact the company or Taroa Investment Company in Europe. Your investment will be made available for sale, probably to a US investor. A sale is invariably achieved within a few weeks and may be subject to a sales commission depending upon the source of the new investor.
The second exit option is to await a sale of the project. American Life is incentivised to sell its properties but only after all its immigrant investors have had Conditions removed. Investors receive back their initial investment plus 70 per cent of the capital gain. American Life receives 30 per cent of the capital gain, providing it with a strong incentive to realise the maximum profit as soon as it is permitted to do so under EB-5 visa regulations.
American Life has sales agents all over the world and has two sales people in the US dealing with the sale and resale into the US market.
NB: Recently, the USCIS has decreed that, within two of our newer Regional Centers, EB-5 related investments must be held for no less than five years. However, if your circumstances change and you abandon your emigration plans, there is no minimum period imposed by American Life.
